    EPDM sealing strips are made of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber, a type of sealing material. They are widely used in construction, engineering, household and other fields to fill and seal gaps between structures, so as to prevent the leakage and ingress of water, air and other substances. Featuring outstanding weather resistance, corrosion resistance and anti-aging performance, they are applicable to various indoor and outdoor environments.

    Specifically, EPDM is a copolymer of ethylene, propylene and a small amount of the third monomer. Also known as crack-free rubber, it is globally recognized as an ideal material for manufacturing sealing strips. Produced via one-step microwave vulcanization, the finished products have smooth and attractive surfaces. They deliver excellent elasticity and resistance to compression set, along with superior resistance to weathering, ozone and chemicals. Besides, the material boasts good fire resistance and a wide operating temperature range from -50℃ to +150℃.

    EPDM sealing strips are extensively used across industrial and manufacturing sectors including containers, building curtain walls, electrical appliances, doors and windows, machinery products, cabinets, furniture, wooden doors, construction machinery and engineering facilities. The major application scenarios cover automobiles, architectural doors & windows and mechanical equipment. In the automotive industry, for instance, these sealing strips are installed on vehicle doors, window frames, side windows, front and rear windshields, engine hoods and trunks, functioning for waterproofing, dust prevention, sound insulation, thermal insulation, shock absorption and decoration.
